Karl's Gnocchi

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 package of gnocchi from the refrigerated section
  • salt water
  • 150g bacon
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 bunch of spring onions
  • 1 pepper, yellow, hot
  • 200 g mushrooms, fresh or from the jar
  • 50 g baby spinach, fresh
  • some pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Finely chop the garlic cloves and slice the bacon. Cut the spring onions into 5 mm thick strips, the peppers into thin strips, and the mushrooms into thin slices. Fry the bacon in a little butter in a large pan, add the onions, garlic, and mushrooms. Finally, fry the peppers briefly, season with pepper, and reduce the heat. Cook the gnocchi in salted water according to the package instructions. When they float to the top, they are done; this takes about 3 minutes. Add them directly from the water to the pan, fold in, and briefly increase the heat. Finally, stir in the leaf spinach and let it stand for a minute, then serve.
