Kibe – Brazilian-Arabic bulgur wheat minced meat rolls

Ingredients for 20 servings:

  • ½ kg bulgur
  • 1 kg minced beef
  • 1 large onion(s), diced
  • 1 clove(s) garlic, squeezed
  • some mint, chopped
  • possibly chili
  • salt and pepper
  • n. B. Oil
  • e.g. Tabasco
  • 4 limes
  • n. B. water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 42 minutes

Wash the bulgur and drain. Then soak the moist bulgur in water for 2 hours. Add the mint, onion, and pepper. Add the ground meat, mix thoroughly, and knead. Form the kibe (small, tapered rolls). Fry in hot oil and serve immediately. Serve the kibe with lime wedges and Tabasco. The limes and Tabasco can be sprinkled over the kibe and eaten as desired.
