Kingklip on leaf spinach with mashed potatoes

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g fish fillet(s) (kingklip)
  • 150 g fresh leaf spinach
  • Salt and pepper, from the mill
  • some lemon juice
  • 500 g potatoes
  • 250 ml milk
  • 100 g butter
  • Nutmeg, freshly grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Peel and wash the potatoes, and place them in the steamer for about 40 minutes. In the meantime, wash the fish, pat it dry, and season with salt and pepper. Sort the spinach, wash it, and spin it dry. Spread the spinach on a baking tray and place the kingklip on top. Place the tray in the steamer with the potatoes for about 20 minutes. Heat the milk with nutmeg. Remove the potatoes from the steamer, mash them with a potato masher, add the butter, and mix in the warm milk. Season with salt and nutmeg. Sprinkle the fish with a dash of lemon juice and serve with the spinach and mashed potatoes.
