Kohlrabi and minced meat casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced pork or mixed
  • 2 m.-large kohlrabi
  • 200 g crème fraîche
  • 250 ml Cremefine
  • 200 g gratin cheese
  • nutmeg
  • salt and pepper
  • Parsley

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Peel the kohlrabi, cut into small cubes, and boil briefly in salted water to soften them a little. Season the minced meat with salt, pepper, and a little nutmeg, and fry in as little oil as possible. Transfer the fried minced meat to a baking dish and top with the kohlrabi cubes. For the sauce, mix the crème fraîche and crème fraîche in a bowl or measuring jug and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Add the parsley to the sauce. You’ll need about 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley. Pour the sauce over the minced meat and kohlrabi in the baking dish and scatter the cheese on top. Place the baking dish in a preheated oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is golden brown.
