Kohlrabi – chopped – casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat
  • 600 g kohlrabi (frozen), in sauce
  • 6 potatoes
  • 50 g cheese (Gouda)
  • Milk
  • butter
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • Salt
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Mix the minced meat with the finely chopped onion. Season with salt and pepper. Sauté briskly. Meanwhile, heat the kohlrabi according to the package instructions. Peel the potatoes and cook until tender. Make a puree from the cooked potatoes with a little milk, butter, and salt. Grease a baking dish and layer the minced meat first, then the kohlrabi, and then the puree. Finally, sprinkle with some grated cheese and bake the whole thing in the oven (200°C) for about 20 minutes. The cheese should take on a nice, light brown color. Tip: You can also use sauerkraut instead of kohlrabi.
