SABO – Turkey roulades with ham and cheese in tomato sauce

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 3 pieces of turkey breast
  • 9 slices of ham (San Daniele)
  • 18 slices of mozzarella
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 chili pepper(s), chopped
  • 2 clove(s) garlic, chopped
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 400 g tomatoes, in pieces (tetra pack)
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • basil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Cut the turkey breast lengthwise into 3 slices each. Flatten the turkey slices and top each with 1 slice of ham and 2 slices of cheese. Roll them up and secure. Season the roulades. Heat olive oil, sear the roulades for 2-3 minutes on all sides, and remove from the pan. Sauté the onions, chili, and garlic for 2 minutes. Stir in the tomato paste and add the chopped tomatoes. Simmer for 10-12 minutes. Season the sauce to taste. Add the roulades to the sauce and simmer for another 3-4 minutes.
