Mayak eggs – also called drug eggs
Place the eggs in boiling water and cook for about 6.5 minutes for a medium egg (about 7 minutes for a large egg). Then rinse thoroughly, ideally with ice water. Finely chop the spring onion and garlic cloves and mix with the soy sauce, honey, water, oil, and chili flakes. This is best done in a container with a lid, into which the eggs can be placed. Peel the eggs and place them in the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 2 hours, or overnight if possible. Shake or turn them occasionally to ensure the eggs are evenly coated. Use as a topping for noodles or soups, as a filling for bread and rolls, or just on their own.
