Korean onion soup

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 kg onion(s) (vegetable onions), cut into coarse slices
  • 1 kg leek, sliced
  • 4 sausages (Mettwurst), sliced
  • 4 slice(s) meat (belly meat), cut into strips
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 pack of glass noodles, softened, cut into pieces
  • 1 ½ liters of water

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Bring water to a boil. Once boiling, add the pork belly and onions and simmer over medium heat. After 30 minutes, add the sausages, leeks, and the cup of soy sauce to the soup. Simmer for another 20 minutes. Season with cayenne pepper (it should be very hot) and add the glass noodles. Boil for another 5 minutes. Serve with rice.
