Kurdish meatballs

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg minced meat, mixed (lamb and beef)
  • 1 large potato(s)
  • 1 tomato(s)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 bunch of parsley
  • salt and pepper
  • cumin
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

Place the ground meat in a bowl. Peel the potato and grate it. Do the same with the onion and tomato. Mix everything together with the ground meat. Wash and finely chop the parsley, add some to the ground meat mixture, and reserve the rest for serving. Add 1 tablespoon of tomato paste, salt, pepper, and cumin, and mix everything well again. Form the meatballs into meatballs, making sure the shape is a bit smaller and flatter so they cook faster. Fry in oil. Serve with flatbread and a nice salad. Serve with the remaining parsley and onions.
