Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 kg boneless leg of lamb
  • 2 kg leeks
  • ½ kg potatoes, waxy
  • 2 apples, green, sour
  • ½ cup sweet cream
  • 2 vegetable stock cubes
  • salt and pepper
  • curry powder
  • n. B. water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours

a hearty dish on cold days

Brown the finely chopped meat in a large pot. Wash and finely chop the leek. Peel and core the apples, and cut into 0.5 cm thick slices. Peel the potatoes and cut into equally thick slices. Place the leek on top of the browned meat, then the apples. Do not completely cover with water. Add the vegetable stock cube, salt, pepper, and curry powder. Simmer for 1 hour. Then add the finely chopped potatoes and simmer for another 1/2 hour. Stir occasionally. Finally, season again with salt, pepper, and curry powder and add the cream. The curry powder is not necessary.
