Leek gratin on bread dumplings

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 300 g leek
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • n. B. Nutmeg
  • 6 bread dumplings, boiled
  • Fat for the mold
  • 100 g carrot(s), coarsely grated
  • 100 g grated cheese (Gouda or any)
  • 6 tbsp cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Trim the leeks and slice diagonally into approximately 2 cm wide pieces. Sauté in oil for about 15 minutes. Season as desired. Cut the dumplings into thick slices and place in a large, flat, greased baking dish. Arrange the leeks on top, followed by the coarsely grated carrots. Sprinkle with grated cheese and pour over the cream. Bake in a preheated oven at 225°C (top/bottom heat) for about 15 minutes.
