Leek stew with minced meat Turkish style

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 stalk(s) leeks
  • 250 g minced meat
  • 3 carrots
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 40 g rice
  • some salt and pepper
  • 750 ml meat broth
  • 1 tbsp, heaped tomato paste
  • 2 large tomatoes
  • 1 lemon(s), the juice
  • some oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Peel and chop the tomatoes. Cut the leek into 1 cm thick slices, halve and slice the onion. Slice the carrots. Brown the minced meat and season with salt and pepper. Add the onions, tomatoes, and tomato paste and fry. Add the meat broth, leek, carrots, and rice and simmer over medium heat with the lid closed for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper and add freshly squeezed lemon juice. 230 kcal per serving.
