Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat
  • 1 onion(s), grated
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • 3 potatoes, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 pointed pepper, yellow
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 140 g tomato paste
  • 1 tsp cumin (Kimion)
  • 1 garlic clove(s), chopped
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Knead the minced meat with salt, pepper, grated onion, egg, parsley, breadcrumbs, and paprika powder and form into dumplings. Bring plenty of salted water to a boil. Simmer the dumplings with the peeled potatoes, which have been cut into bite-sized pieces (on an electric stove, level 1). While everything is cooking, wash and chop the pointed peppers and tomatoes. If you like, you can also blanch the tomatoes first and peel them. After 20 minutes, skim off some of the broth in the pot so that everything is just covered with liquid. Add the vegetables and tomato paste and season the stew with cumin, garlic, salt, and pepper. Then bring to a boil for another 5 minutes.
