  • 4 eggs
  • 200 g sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • 200 g butter
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 2 lemons, peel
  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 1 pack of chocolate glaze

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Makes about 12 muffins.

First, melt the butter. While the melted butter cools, break the chocolate into small pieces and set aside. Crack the eggs into small pieces and beat them with the sugar in a bowl until frothy. Preheat the oven to 200°C. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and grated lemon zest and add to the egg mixture. Add the orange flavoring. Stir in the cooled butter and add the chocolate chips. Mix the batter again. Pour the batter into a greased muffin tin and bake at 200°C for about 15-20 minutes. Once the muffins have cooled, they will be easier to remove from the pan. Cover the muffins with chocolate glaze and decorate if desired.
