Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp lemon zest, grated
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 125 g butter
  • 200 g powdered sugar

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 day 6 hours; Total time approx. 1 day 6 hours 45 minutes

for 35 – 40 pieces

Combine flour, salt, baking powder, vanilla sugar, and sugar in a large bowl. Cut the butter into small cubes and add it, kneading lightly. Add the egg, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and the lemon zest, and knead everything into a smooth dough. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for 30 minutes. Make a glaze from sifted powdered sugar and 2-3 tablespoons of lemon juice. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of 1/2 cm and cut out stars. Bake in the oven at 150°C for about 20 minutes, brushing with the lemon glaze while still hot.
