Ingredients for 2 servings:
- ½ cup lentils, brown, dried
- 4 tbsp oat flakes
- 1 tbsp soy flour
- ½ liter of water
- salt and pepper
- Spice(s) of your choice, e.g. chili, paprika powder, ..
- n. B. Oil

vegan, ideal for burgers
Boil the lentils in the water until soft. Drain and reserve any excess water, then puree the lentils. Mix with the oats, spices, soy flour, and 2 tablespoons of the reserved water until a workable dough forms. If the dough is too runny, simply add a few more oats; if it’s too stiff, add a little water. Form the dough into flat patties and fry slowly in oil on both sides until browned. The patties are a good substitute for meat in veggie burgers, but also taste great as a side dish with potatoes or mashed potatoes. The recipe can be varied as desired, for example, with finely diced onions or grated vegetables such as carrots.
