Let The Yeast Dough Rise In The Oven – That’s How It Works

Proving yeast dough in the oven – tips, and hints

In order to let the yeast dough rise in the oven, you should choose the right temperature. If you set it too high, it will have a negative effect on the walking process. If the temperature is too low, the dough will take longer to rise.

  • Non-proofing ovens should be preheated for 5 minutes. Position the temperature switch between 30 and 40 degrees.
  • Place the yeast dough in a bowl. Place a damp kitchen towel over it to keep the dough from drying out as it rises.
  • You can also spray the batter with some baking spray. You should still place the kitchen towel over the bowl.
  • Let the yeast dough rise in the oven with the oven door closed for about 30 to 45 minutes.
  • After that, the dough should have doubled in size.
  • In an oven with a proofing setting, the rise time is reduced by 10 to 15 minutes.
