Lettuce à la Pomerania

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 head of lettuce (lettuce or iceberg lettuce)
  • 1 cup of cream (200 g)
  • 1 lemon(s), the juice
  • lots of sugar

Instructions

Pomeranian recipe, sweet salad, quick and tasty with fried fish

Clean the lettuce and drain. Squeeze the lemon juice into a bowl. Add enough sugar to absorb the juice. This is important so the cream, which is added later, doesn’t curdle. You need a lot of sugar, so there’s nothing to thin it out. Add the cream and whisk until smooth. Just before eating, add the lettuce and stir. It goes well with mashed potatoes and fried, breaded pollock. I grew up with it; my parents are from Pomerania. One head of lettuce is enough for three people.
