Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 ml olive oil or germ oil
  • 3 limes, untreated

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest period approx. 7 days; Total time approx. 7 days 10 minutes

Wonderfully aromatic oil for salads, spaghetti, poultry, etc.

Pour the oil into a transparent, sealable container. Wash the limes and dry them thoroughly to prevent any water from getting into the oil. Then slice the limes and add them to the oil. Close the container tightly and place them in a bright place (out of direct sunlight) for about a week, shaking gently occasionally to allow the lime aroma to disperse. Then, without the limes, transfer the oil to another container, such as a carafe, glass bottle, or similar. If tightly sealed, the oil will keep for about 3 months.
