Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 450 g flour
  • 300 g butter
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 g powdered sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 lemon(s), the peel
  • ½ bottle flavoring (lemon)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (or more to taste)
  • Jam (redcurrant jam)
  • powdered sugar

Cream the butter until fluffy, add the eggs and sugar, and stir a little more. Then add the remaining ingredients and make a nice shortcrust pastry. Chill for about 30 minutes. Roll out the dough and cut out round biscuits from half the dough. Shape the rest into thin rolls (about 0.5 cm) and form a spiral the size of the biscuit. Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C for about 12-15 minutes until light golden. Once cooled, sandwich one biscuit and one spiral together with jam and fill the spaces with jam (make it slightly runny). Sprinkle with icing sugar if desired.
