Little American cookies on a stick

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 120 g butter or margarine
  • 120 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 g flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp vanilla pudding powder
  • 80 ml milk
  • 200 g powdered sugar
  • 6 tsp lemon juice or lukewarm water
  • e.g. chocolate lentils, sugar confetti or similar of your choice

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

for 12 little Americans

You’ll also need 12 wooden popsicle sticks. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Line two baking sheets with baking paper or baking mats. First, melt the butter or margarine and soak the popsicle sticks in water. Next, place the melted butter or margarine, sugar, and salt in a bowl and beat with a mixer until fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time and mix in. Then mix the flour, baking powder, and pudding powder, add them, and mix in. Gradually add the milk. The batter should now fall easily from the spoon. Using a tablespoon, place small, even-sized mounds of batter on the baking sheets (depending on the size, this will make 12-14 American cookies). Insert a soaked popsicle stick into the side of each mound of batter. Bake the American cookies in the hot oven for about 15 minutes (check them after 12 minutes to avoid overcooking). For the icing, mix the powdered sugar with lemon juice or lukewarm water, depending on your taste. Decorate the American cookies with chocolate drops, confetti, or something similar.
