Load the dishwasher correctly – that’s how it’s done
- Load the large and very dirty items into the bottom rack of the dishwasher. This includes plates, pots, casserole dishes, and bowls.
- The temperature and water pressure are highest in this area of the dishwasher: This is where dirty dishes are cleaned effectively.
- In the upper compartment of the dishwasher, you can load fewer dirty dishes such as glasses, cups, and lunch boxes.
- Arrange the cutlery in the cutlery basket provided. The fork teeth and knife edges should point upwards.
Arrange dishes correctly in the dishwasher
To ensure that the dishes are clean, you should place cups and pots the right way round and not stack them on top of each other.
- You must put the pots and bowls in the dishwasher upside down to allow the water to escape. Otherwise, the dirty water will collect in the pots and the dishes won’t get really clean.
- Do not overload the dishwasher. As soon as the dishes are too close together or stacked, dirty spots will remain. It is then better to split your dishes into two rinse cycles to save yourself rework.
- In the last step, test whether the spray arms can be rotated without problems. Otherwise, the water would not be distributed effectively and you would have to rinse by hand.
