Make Tofu Pudding Yourself – Two Variants to Cook at Home

Tofu pudding – this is how it is made

There are different ways to make a delicious pudding. The first recipe is about making silken tofu.

  • Blend a packet of Organic Silken Tofu with 5 tablespoons of vanilla sugar and a pinch of cinnamon in a blender.
  • Then melt 230 g of dark chocolate in a water bath. When buying chocolate, always look for the Fairtrade seal.
  • Then mix both together, put it in a bowl and refrigerate the pudding for about 5 hours.
  • You can then sprinkle the finished pudding with a few grated chocolates or coconut flakes. A few chopped pistachio nuts can also give the pudding a visual refinement.

This variant of the tofu pudding is also suitable

For this slightly different pudding recipe, you will need calcium sulfate, which acts as a coagulant, potato starch, soy milk, and water.

  • In a saucepan, combine 3 teaspoons of calcium sulfate, 2 teaspoons of potato starch, and 1/3 of a cup of water.
  • Mix everything together. Then put 2 3/4 cups of organic soy milk in a saucepan, boil it up briefly and pour it into the saucepan in which you stirred the previous mix with calcium sulfate.
  • If you make your own soy milk, you can use half the calcium sulfate and half the potato starch. And you will only need 2 1/2 cups of soy milk.
  • Set the pot aside at room temperature and cover with a cloth. The pudding should be ready to eat in about an hour.

This is how you create a delicious syrup for your pudding

Peel and chop 50g ginger and put it in a saucepan with 250ml water to simmer.

  • After 25 minutes, strain the mass and put it back in a saucepan with 50 g of cane sugar to simmer for 20 minutes.
  • You can enjoy the syrup warm over your pudding or you can put it in the fridge before consumption.
