Vegan Snickers: The preparation
Allow enough time to prepare the “Snickers”. Because the bars have to be in the freezer for three to four hours in between.
- First line the mold with parchment paper.
- Next, mix all the ingredients for the base in a stand mixer until you have a smooth batter. Then press the mass evenly into the mold.
- Now add all the ingredients for the caramel, except the peanuts, to your blender. Blend them into a smooth mass.
- Then fold the peanuts into the caramel and spread the mixture evenly over the “Snickers” base.
- Now place the mold in the freezer for 3 to 4 hours.
- Melt the dark couverture together with the coconut oil over a water bath.
- Take the “Snickers” out of the freezer. Using a sharp kitchen knife, cut the mixture into 8 bars. Tip: Cut them about 1 inch wide so all the bars are the same size.
- Using a fork, dip each bar into the melted chocolate. Then place them on parchment paper to harden.
- Then keep the finished “Snickers” in a plastic storage container in the fridge.
