Recipe for a gingerbread latte macchiato

If you don’t want to do without a hot gingerbread latte in winter and the prices for the to-go drink in the coffee shop are too high for you, you can simply prepare the trend yourself at home. We’ll tell you a recipe for the popular gingerbread latte macchiato.

  1. Get the ingredients. For a cup of a gingerbread latte, you need 250 ml milk, 75 ml espresso, half a teaspoon of gingerbread spice, half a teaspoon of honey, half a packet of vanilla sugar, some whipped cream, and small gingerbread cookies for decoration.
  2. Heat the milk in a saucepan and add the honey, vanilla sugar, and gingerbread spice while stirring.
  3. Pour the freshly prepared espresso into a large latte macchiato glass and pour the heated milk over it.
  4. Top with some whipped cream or use frothed milk for a lower-calorie option.
  5. Garnish the gingerbread latte with small gingerbread crumbs on the cream and a cut gingerbread or a small gingerbread man on the rim of the glass.
  6. You can also prepare the drink in the Dalgona Coffee variant.
