Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 250 g butter
- 150 g powdered sugar
- 60 g baking cocoa
- 5 egg yolks
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 200 g flour
- 1 jar currant jelly
- 1 pack of chocolate coating
Instructions
Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes
Knead the dough ingredients thoroughly. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for half an hour. Then, either roll out and cut out shapes (I chose a heart shape) or run them through a meat grinder. I find this method tedious, as the cookies always have to be the same size. Place the cookies on a prepared baking sheet and bake at 180°C (convection oven) for about 10 minutes. Once cooled, spread with blackcurrant jelly, stacking them two at a time. Finally, dip one corner in melted chocolate coating.
