Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 250 g mango(s), peeled and diced
- 75 ml water
- 125 g sugar
- 4 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp anise powder
- 5 peppercorns
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 3 carnations
- 2 bay leaves
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
Cook all ingredients together for about 20 minutes. The mango should be quite soft. The chutney can be stored in jam jars in the refrigerator for several weeks. It also tastes great as a fondue sauce.
