Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 8 tbsp, heaped oat flakes, flower-soft
  • 500 ml water
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 2 handfuls of walnuts
  • 1 banana(s)
  • n. B. maple syrup, approx. 1 – 2 tbsp, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

quick and easy, dairy-free, vegan

Combine the oats, water, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of cinnamon in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir occasionally. In the meantime, chop the walnuts as needed. Once the porridge is boiling, remove the pan from the heat, stir in the walnuts, and let stand, covered, for about 5 minutes. Stir occasionally. Peel and chop the banana, then stir in at the end along with 1-2 tablespoons of maple syrup (more to taste). This amount makes about 2 large portions or 4 fairly small ones. This was my first porridge, and I’d be very grateful for any other porridge ideas.
