Marinated pork Korean style

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pork belly or pork neck, approx. 5 mm thick
  • 3 tbsp Korean chili paste (Gotchujang)
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • ½ tbsp ginger root, chopped
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp garlic, chopped

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

Doeji Bulgogi

Combine all ingredients except the pork. Rub the mixture into the meat and let it marinate in the refrigerator for several hours. Spread the meat on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and cook in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius until cooked through, turning once. The meat can also be fried in an oiled pan, but oven cooking requires less fat.
