Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 150 g flour
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3 tbsp Amaretto
  • 2 egg yolks, depending on size
  • 200 g marzipan – raw mass
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp chocolate shavings

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Make a shortcrust pastry from the first 6 ingredients and chill it for at least 1 hour. Then roll the dough out into a 30 x 22 cm rectangle and spread with 1/3 of the amaretto mixture made with the remaining ingredients and sprinkle with chocolate shavings. Roll out the marzipan mixture to 30 x 18 cm and place it on the dough (in the middle). Spread with 1/3 of the amaretto mixture. Roll up the dough sheet and place it on the seam. Chill for 30 minutes. Cut into ½ cm thick slices. Spread with the remaining amaretto mixture and bake at 200 degrees Celsius for approx. 12-15 minutes.
