Marzipan Sweets

The perfect marzipan sweets recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the decoration:

  • 300 g Powdered sugar
  • 1 Pck. Orange baking flavor
  • Raspberry jelly, icing sugar, chocolate coating, fruit jelly, if you like
  1. Knead the marzipan well with the powdered sugar and the orange flavor. It shouldn’t stick to your hands anymore.
  1. Roll out 1 cm thick in portions between two transparent foils and cut out different shapes. Always wash the molds after cutting out 2 – 3 times, otherwise the mass will stick to them and will come out of the mold badly.
  1. Place the pieces on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. You can – if you want – press in the edges with a fork or press a hollow in the middle so that the couverture or jelly does not leak. Jelly and jelly fruits are poured into the cavity before baking, couverture and the icing sugar are only applied after baking.
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  1. Bake everything for about 8 minutes and then turn on the grill (at 240 degrees) for another 2 minutes in the oven – if available. It should be light, but still crispy on the surface.
  1. For each tray, however, switch back down to 180 degrees for baking and increase again for grilling. If you don’t have a grill, you can simply leave the pieces in the oven longer, but not without observing them for the last few minutes. At first hardly anything happens and then they turn brown very quickly.
  1. The above quantity refers to pieces.
