Mashed Carrots and Potatoes with Apple Sauce

The perfect mashed carrots and potatoes with apple sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kg Potatoes
  • 1 kg Carrots
  • 0,5 l Vegetable broth
  • 3 essl Butter
  • Salt, white pepper and some chopped parsley
  • Applesauce
  • 1 kg Apples
  • 0,2 liter Apple juice
  • Possibly sugar
  1. Peel the potatoes and cut into large pieces. Peel the carrots with the peeler and cut into slices. Put on the cold vegetable stock and cook for 20 minutes.
  2. peel the apples, cut into small pieces and cook with the apple juice for 10-15 minutes (depending on the apple variety).
  3. Also mash the potatoes and carrots with the potato masher. Add the butter and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Finally sprinkle the carrot and mashed potatoes with a little parsley.
  5. We had a chop with it.
