Mashed Carrots and Potatoes with Apple Sauce
The perfect mashed carrots and potatoes with apple sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 1 kg Potatoes
- 1 kg Carrots
- 0,5 l Vegetable broth
- 3 essl Butter
- Salt, white pepper and some chopped parsley
- Applesauce
- 1 kg Apples
- 0,2 liter Apple juice
- Possibly sugar
- Peel the potatoes and cut into large pieces. Peel the carrots with the peeler and cut into slices. Put on the cold vegetable stock and cook for 20 minutes.
- peel the apples, cut into small pieces and cook with the apple juice for 10-15 minutes (depending on the apple variety).
- Also mash the potatoes and carrots with the potato masher. Add the butter and season with salt and pepper.
- Finally sprinkle the carrot and mashed potatoes with a little parsley.
