Mashed potato and minced meat gratin

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 5 large potatoes
  • salt water
  • 125 ml milk
  • 50 g butter
  • 2 packs of cheese, grated
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Peel the potatoes and boil them in salted water. Brown the minced meat in a pan and season with salt. Drain the potatoes as soon as they are tender. Add the milk and butter to the pot with the potatoes and mix with a hand mixer until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add hot water until the desired consistency is reached. Add 1 package of grated cheese to the hot mashed potatoes and mix. Drain the meat juices from the minced meat and stir the minced meat into the mashed potatoes. Transfer everything to a baking dish and sprinkle with the second package of cheese. Bake the gratin in the oven at 180°C for 10 minutes.
