Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 250 g fish fillet(s) (matjes, Nordic style)
- 25 g onion(s), finely chopped
- 1 lemon(s), the juice and also the pulp of it
- 2 small pickled cucumbers (approx. 30 g), weighed small
- 1 apple (approx. 120 g), coarsely grated and weighed
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 200 g sour cream
- 100 g milk

Drain the oil from the herring fillet, rinse it with water, and cut it into bite-sized pieces. Place it in a bowl. Add the onion, lemon juice and pulp, gherkins, and apple. Mix the sour cream with milk, sugar, and salt and pour over the mixture. Mix briefly and let it sit for a while. Serve with boiled potatoes and cranberries. My own recipe.
