Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 400 g herring fillet(s) Norwegian style in oil
- 400 g matjes fillet(s), smoked in oil
- 2 large onions
- ½ chili pepper(s)
- 4 gherkins
- some salt and pepper from the mill
- 4 tbsp vinegar
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
Cut the herring fillets into strips and the onions into rings. Thinly slice the gherkins and finely slice the chili. Combine everything in a bowl and season with salt and pepper. Season with vinegar to taste. Let it simmer for 30 minutes. I serve it with boiled potatoes.
