Matjessalat with Curry without Majo

- 4 Pc. Herring fillets
- 3 tbsp Vegetable soup
- 200 g Sour cream
- Curry to taste
- Chilli (cayenne pepper) to taste
- Salt
- 1 Pr Sugar
- 1 Spr Lime juice
- Lime zest from untreated limes
- 1 Apple
- 4 kl. Gherkins
- Mix a few tablespoons of vegetable soup with curry powder, then add sour cream until it becomes creamy. Season to taste with salt, a pinch of sugar, chilli powder and a splash of lime juice and a little lime zest from an untreated lime.
- Peel, quarter and core an apple and cut into 2 cm thick slices or cubes. Wash the matjes fillet with cold water, pat dry and cut into two cm thick pieces, also cut the pickles into slices or cubes and mix with the curry cream.
- Leave to marinate in the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours. Do not serve too cold
