Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 500 g minced meat, mixed
- 250 g sausage meat
- 2 rolls, old, sliced
- 1 cup milk, hot
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- Pepper, for seasoning
- Paprika powder, for seasoning
- 1 tsp, heaped mustard, medium hot
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 medium-sized onion(s), finely chopped
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 bunch parsley, chopped
- some breadcrumbs, to bind
- Palm fat, for frying

Grandma’s way
Pour the hot milk over the sliced rolls, let them stand for a while, and then squeeze out any excess milk. Chop the onions and sauté them with the crushed garlic cloves in a small pan with a little butter until translucent, then let cool. Chop the parsley and add it to the rolls along with the minced meat and the meat mixture. Add the eggs, mustard, and all the seasonings and mix everything in a food processor until a smooth batter forms. Thicken with a little breadcrumbs, if desired. Form the meatballs and fry in hot oil until golden brown on both sides. A potato and cucumber salad makes a great side dish.
