Meat sausage with rice, peppers and dates

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400 g poultry sausage
  • 3 bags of rice
  • 2 large bell peppers
  • 100 g pitted dates
  • e.g. salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Cut the sausage and bell peppers into small strips or cubes. Cut the dates into three to four pieces each. Cook the rice according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, fry the sausage in a pan until lightly browned. Add the bell peppers and toss everything several times. After about 5 minutes, add the dates and toss again several times. Taste if the bell peppers are soft enough; if not, fry a little longer. Finally, combine the rice and the ingredients from the pan and serve. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
