Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 50 g fried onions
  • 4 m.-sized eggs
  • 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 200 g Emmental cheese, grated
  • 250 g sour cream
  • 150 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Mix the minced meat with the fried onions, 1 egg, and the breadcrumbs, and season well with salt and pepper. Beat 3 eggs with ½ teaspoon of salt until frothy, then add the sour cream. Sift the flour and baking powder over the mixture and fold it in. Sprinkle the bottom edge of a 26cm springform pan thinly with cheese, then pour the batter into the pan. Using an ice cream scoop, form small meatballs from the meat mixture and place them in the springform pan. Sprinkle the remaining cheese into the gaps. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (top and bottom heat) for approx. 30 minutes. Then bake for a further 5 minutes at 200°C (top and bottom heat). Remove from the oven and let stand for a further 5 minutes.
