Meatballs in tomato sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 600 g minced beef
  • 1 egg(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • 1 pack of tomatoes, pureed (500 g)
  • 1 can of chopped tomatoes (400 g)
  • Salt
  • 2 pinches of cayenne pepper
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Roman pot

Place the pureed and chopped tomatoes in a well-watered earthenware pot and season with the spices. Peel and finely dice the onions. Add them to the minced meat along with the egg and spices and mix well. Form into small balls and place them in the tomato sauce. Cover the earthenware pot and place it in a cold oven. Cook at 200°C for about 65 minutes. Serve with rice.
