Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 450 g lean ground beef
- 1 onion(s), chopped
- 15 g butter or margarine
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 clove(s) garlic, crushed
- 150 g onion(s), grated
- 1 tsp. clove powder
- 1 tsp sugar
- 4 tomatoes, chopped
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes
Heat oil in a saucepan. Add grated onion, garlic, cloves, turmeric, sugar, and tomatoes. Simmer for about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, combine the minced meat with the chopped onion, lemon juice, salt, chili powder, and coriander and form into small dumplings. Melt butter or margarine in a second saucepan and brown the dumplings on all sides. Add the meatballs to the sauce and simmer for another 15 minutes. Serve with rice.
