South African dessert

For the base, knead together the butter, sugar, egg, and flour mixed with the baking powder. Press the mixture into a greased, slanted-edged pan and prick all over with a fork. Bake at 150°C (fan oven) for about 20 minutes. For the pudding, bring 2.5 cups of milk to a boil. Mix the flour, Mondamin, sugar, salt, and 1 packet of vanilla sugar with the remaining milk and stir into the boiling milk. Add the margarine and 3 egg yolks to the boiling milk and bring to a boil briefly. Fold 3 stiffly beaten egg whites into the mixture. Pour the mixture into the pan with the baked base and let it cool. Sprinkle with cinnamon to finish.
