Turkish lentil patties

Wash the lentils and bulgur, cook the lentils for about 20 minutes (covered by about two fingers), then add the bulgur and simmer for about 3-5 minutes (low heat). Then let it simmer for 15-20 minutes. Add all the other ingredients and spices, mix well, and form into long patties. Arrange “boats” on plates with long lettuce leaves (cooked lettuce looks best), place the patties inside, and garnish with halved lemon slices and parsley. Serve with white bread or flatbread.
