Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 200 g millet
  • ½ liter of water
  • 1 carrot(s)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • ½ celeriac
  • ½ stalk(s) leek
  • breadcrumbs
  • Oil, for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

Dice the vegetables. Bring the water to a boil before adding all the ingredients to the pot. Simmer for 5 minutes, turn off the heat, and let it stand on the stovetop until the mixture cools and solidifies. Then form the mixture into small patties, coat in breadcrumbs, and fry in a pan until golden brown. Serve as a main course with a yogurt and herb sauce and salad, or as a side dish, for example, with grilled meat.
