  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 clove(s) garlic, chopped
  • 250 g cream cheese spread
  • 150 ml milk
  • 1 shot of white wine
  • 1 lemon(s), squeezed
  • Basil, fresh or dried
  • olive oil
  • 1 pepper(s), red, cut into strips
  • 250 g sheep’s cheese

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Greek style, with lemon

Peel the onions and garlic and dice them into small cubes. Peel the potatoes. Squeeze the lemon. Slice the bell pepper. Boil the potatoes until almost done. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a pan and fry the onions and minced meat until tender. Then add the garlic and fry briefly. Deglaze with a splash of white wine, reduce the heat, and add the processed cheese and milk. Season with salt, pepper, and oregano. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Drain the potatoes, slice them, and add them to the minced meat mixture. Mix everything well. The liquid should cover everything so it doesn’t become too dry during baking. Add a little stock if necessary. Transfer everything to a large baking dish. Crumble the feta cheese and pour it over the mixture. Pour the lemon juice over it and top with the bell pepper strips. Bake the casserole in the oven for about 25 minutes.
