Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 1 pack of baguette(s), garlic
- 500 g minced meat, mixed
- 2 packs of rice (2-minute Mediterranean rice)
- 1 onion(s)
- 1 pinch of chili powder
- salt and pepper
- 2 packs of mozzarella
- 1 handful of cheese (gratin cheese/gratin cheese)
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
a generously topped garlic baguette to fill you up
Dice the onion and fry. Add the ground beef and fry until crisp. Meanwhile, heat the rice in the microwave according to the package instructions. Add the hot rice to the pan with the ground beef and fry for another 2-3 minutes. Cut the baguette lengthwise and place it on a wire rack. Spoon the hot ground beef/rice mixture onto the baguette halves. Then thinly slice the mozzarella and place it on the baguettes. Finally, sprinkle the filled baguettes with grated cheese. Place the baguettes in the oven at 180°C (fan oven) (middle rack) for about 12-15 minutes (depending on taste and degree of browning). It’s best to have another baking sheet lined with baking paper on the bottom rack. This makes cleanup easier and allows you to drape the cheese, which is very crispy, over the baguettes.
