Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 kg minced meat, half and half
- 1 white bread (loaf)
- 3 bell peppers, green, yellow, red
- 250 g cheese (Gouda), in one piece
- Salt
- pepper
- nutmeg
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 50 minutes
Wash and trim the bell peppers and dice them. Dice the Gouda cheese. Season the ground beef with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Then stir in the diced bell peppers and cheese. Cut the top off the white bread loaf and scoop out the insides. Fill the loaf with the ground beef mixture and place it in an oven preheated to 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit). Bake for 1 1/2 hours. Place the lid on the loaf about 10 minutes before the end of the baking time. Tip: Take 1 pound of wholemeal bread, cut it into slices, and toast it in the oven for about 5 minutes. Then spread the ground beef mixture between the slices and return it to the oven. Bake for 25-30 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit).
