Minced meat cake with remoulade sauce

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 kg minced meat, mixed
  • 1 pack of puff pastry, frozen
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 onions, diced
  • 200 g ham, diced
  • 3 packs of spice mix for minced meat
  • 2 rolls, stale
  • 1 apple (e.g. Boskoop)
  • 250 g mayonnaise
  • 3 gherkins and a dash of cucumber water
  • 1 onion(s)
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Soak the stale rolls in water, squeeze out excess moisture, and knead into a dough with the minced meat, seasoning mix, ham, diced onions, and two eggs. Grease a springform pan and line the bottom and sides with puff pastry. Pour in the minced meat and cover with puff pastry. Brush with a little egg yolk and bake for 30-40 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius. Grate the apple, cucumber, and one onion, add the mayonnaise, and season the sauce with pepper, salt, and pickle juice. Serve the tart with the remoulade sauce.
