Minced meat casserole with Brussels sprouts and peppers

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 500 g minced beef
  • 2 pointed peppers
  • 300 g Brussels sprouts
  • Garlic
  • Soy sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • chili
  • 200 ml cream or Cremefine
  • 200 ml dry white wine
  • 100 ml vegetable stock
  • Paprika powder
  • 200 g Gouda, grated
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes

Season the ground beef with salt, pepper, soy sauce, garlic, paprika, and chili, and chill for 30 minutes. Sauté the onions in a little oil and remove from the pan. Brown the ground beef in the same pan, then deglaze with white wine. Add the onions, cream, and stock. Stir in the tomato paste and simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes. Season to taste with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili, if desired. Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan oven). Meanwhile, dice the bell peppers and arrange them in a baking dish along with the Brussels sprouts. Pour the ground beef mixture into the dish and mix everything well. Sprinkle with Gouda cheese and bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
