Minced meat macaroni casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 250 g pasta (macaroni)
  • salt water
  • 2 onions
  • 100 g bacon (smoked bacon)
  • 175 g cheese (Emmental), in one piece
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 250 g minced meat
  • 4 eggs
  • ⅛ liter milk
  • 1 bunch of chives
  • pepper
  • nutmeg
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Boil the macaroni, broken into pieces, in salted water for about 8-12 minutes, drain well, and set aside. Meanwhile, peel and finely chop the onions. Cut the bacon and cheese into 1 cm cubes. Heat butter or margarine, fry the bacon until translucent, and sauté the onions until translucent. Add the ground beef, break it up with a fork, and fry briefly. Layer the macaroni and cheese in a greased baking dish. Whisk the eggs with milk, pepper, nutmeg, and finely chopped chives, and pour over the mixture. Bake at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for about 40 minutes. Serve in the dish.
